Rodman’s Response to Coronavirus

Dear Rodman Family:

We would like to start off by sharing that your health, welfare, and safety always remain our utmost concern. As you are anticipating visiting the church for service or meetings, we anticipate that you may have questions about our efforts to manage Coronavirus (COVID-19).

We want you to feel confident, whenever you visit, that all our actions are focused on your health-well-being and comfort. Here a just a few items we want you to be aware of:

– When you visit the church, be assured that commonly used areas and items such as desks, pews, chairs, door handles, bathrooms are being disinfected on a continual basis throughout the day. Additionally, hand sanitizers are present in all areas and all floors.

– Our facilities staff has cleaned the church prior to your visit with disinfectant and multi-purpose cleaner, bleach utilizing disposable wipes instead of reusable cloths.

– We will refrain from hugging, kissing and shaking hands.

We have some tips on how to adjust effectively:

DON’T PANIC: We serve the Great Physician! Being a source of calm and reason is even more vital considering an outbreak of this nature. Remind those you minister to of Whom we put our trust, faith, and hope in!

COMMUNICATE: We will use the phone tree, emails, text messaging, our website (www.rodmanstreetchurch.org), our Rodman Street Baptist Church Mobile App on Google Play or BulletinPlus , Facebook and other social media platforms to update each of you.  Being able to use these various communication platforms will help us to inform you regarding meeting time changes, health policies, and any other alerts you may need.

LIVE STREAM: All of our services will be live streamed at (www.rodmanstreetchurch.org). We will be livestreaming daily at 8:00 am, 12:00 pm, 7:00 pm, and 10:00 pm. Sundays at 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 2:00 pm, 7:00 pm, and 10:00 pm. Press the watch live button. The service will also be on Facebook Live and YouTube. We will also do Word Up Wednesdays at 12:00 noon every week through our website and social media platforms. Conference Call is available Daily at 7:00 pm, Wednesdays at 12:00 noon Saturdays at 7:00 pm and Sundays at 9:00 am and 7:00 pm.  Dial 844-611-1885.

GIVING: The economic impact and the ability to meet our obligations will be adversely affected during this time. We are asking each of you to continue to participate in being good stewards by giving your tithes and offerings so that we can continue our mission of serving God and the Body of Christ.

During this time, we will not be making hospital or nursing home visits or in-home visits with communion for your safety and the safety of our Ministers, Deacons, Deaconess, Lay Ministers and Staff.
